Many believe that working at well-established companies will guarantee financial security and flashy perks. Corporate environments are also popular for their clear career development and leadership styles, thus allowing better access to professional networking. Unlike working at green companies like startups, bigger organisations can provide a sense of comfort for those who work in it, especially people in higher positions. 

It is undeniable that the benefits of working at big, well-established companies could be enormous. But, many also realize that corporate jobs are typically less challenging and less creative thinking. Big companies also tend to be less open to change because they are risk-averse. While this mindset could help maintain company stability, it might not be a good option for employees who want challenges and progress. Another reason why working at a corporate is tedious is because employees are seen simply as a number. When you are one employee of hundreds or even thousands, you might feel like a cog in a meaningless wheel. 

Pros and cons of working in startups 

Corporate jobs don’t give their workers a sense of ownership, loyalty and pride that a startup job can provide.
