Unlike some giant companies with a million dollar to burn, most startups don’t have marketing money at all. Startups’ budgets are low for everything, and probably zero for marketing.
With many limitations, there are five ways of digital marketing for startups:
1. Digital marketing should be inexpensive, or even free

2. Use the power of social media

Social media have the best budget that startups can afford. Startup people are usually use social media on their daily life, so they feel they can explore this channel by themselves (without hiring a social media admin/specialist).
3. Content marketing is the king
Same as social media, content marketing is rather cheap and manageable. Try to effectively brand your startup by doing some research first and formulating a unique selling proposition. Don’t focus on explaining the features, but sell the benefits for the potential customers.
Startups can find cheap and creative content anywhere in the digital world. Small investments into content will go a long way in building your startup’s brand. Also, it is an instant way to convey your new product or service to potential customers.
